Wordless Wednesday: Election Blues

Ottawa <3

This has nothing to do with food, but I'm bummed about the results of yesterday's federal election. I walk past the parliament buildings in this photo all the time and I like to feel a sense of peace and hope when it comes to my home country. I'm having a hard time feeling that right now. I hope it comes back eventually.

Jenn, I know just how you feel. I was on the brink of tears all day yesterday. It's so disheartening. Just know you are not alone. And sometimes things need to swing in one direction in order to swing back the other way. Keep the faith! xoxo

I know! What happened to the peaceful Canada? Now it's like we're trying to be a U.S. clone country. I just wish more people would have voted (particularly the apathetic youth).

I know how you feel. I've been feeling sick and pessimistic ever since Monday night when the results rolled in. I can't believe my country, which I love so much, and which I've always been so proud of, has chosen this destructive and mean-spirited path. I take comfort in the fact that there are many of us who feel this way.

I'm with you. A sad day for Canada.
