Introducing Vegan Mofo! (or) The Thought of Posting Every Day for a Month is Really Freaking Me Out

shepherd's pie

Did you know that almost half of all the hits my blog gets are from people searching for a recipe for Vegan Shepherd's Pie? Totally true. I am always amazed by how often someone searches for such a thing and how many of them end up here. Welcome, Seekers of Hearty Vegan Casseroles! Have I got something great in store for you.

I've decided that my theme for this month's Vegan Month of Food (a.k.a. Vegan Mofo) is going to be comfort food. It seems like a popular topic and so timely, seeing as here in Ontario we are about to head into the cold, cold winter. The kind of winter that makes one want to stay inside eating potatoes. Hooray!

All month I'll be showing you photos of and recipes for comfort foods made vegan. Some may be things I've made before. Some may be things you've made before. But all will be delicious, hearty, familiar foods that make us happy. And what more could we ask for, really?

This evening I'm on my way to see an all-girl Weezer cover band (that's what I said) so I will not be posting my first recipe of the month until tomorrow. But allow me to leave you with this teaser.

Ohhh, you had me at "Shepherd's Pie," but a month of comfort food seals the deal.

Happy 'MoFo!

I can see why so much of your traffic is for your shepherds pie, it is super delicious! Easily half of my traffic comes for my broccoli salad recipe, which is a little more baffling. Who knew broccoli would make me a popular?

Looking forward to your comfort food recipes!

Happy MoFoing! At least you have shepherd's pie on your site! So many of the hits on my site come from the search for "alligators," it's scary! ;)
